Our sugar-free Nocciola is a crunchy, buttery shortbread hazelnut cookie that is reminiscent of biscotti. It’s very simple and the focus is on the hazelnuts, which are beloved by Italians from North to South. Almost everybody has a hazelnut tree at home.
We add a touch of hazelnut extract to the dough to amplify generous amounts of chopped fresh hazelnuts. Zest of lemon provides a bright note.
